State AG's Urge US Supreme Court To Address Blocked Railroad Crossings
Eighteen states are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to hear a case that could affect their ability to regulate railroad crossings and the amount of time freight trains can block local roads.
The attorneys general argued that the problem of trains blocking roadways has become worse, as railroads use longer and longer trains to increase efficiency. “Blocked grade crossings have serious—sometimes life-threatening—consequences for everyday Americans,” they wrote.

Here's Why We're Seeing A Nationwide Egg Shortage
Consumers and businesses are seeing an increase in egg prices and an egg shortage at grocery stores.
The egg shortage has resulted in plenty of empty shelves and customers having to shell out more cash for the hard-to-find egg cartons.
According to the food market data company Urner Barry, the average price for eggs was $4.33 per dozen as of Tuesday.

Agroconsult Forecasts Record Brazilian Soybean, Corn Crops
Agroconsult expects Brazil to produce record corn and soybean crops in 2022-23, despite dry weather in the far southern state of Rio Grande do Sul. The firm expect Brazilian soybean production to reach 153.4 MMT, which is just below Conab’s official forecast of 153.5 MMT it forecast in December. Agroconsult projects total corn production at 130.9 MMT, including the first crop at 29.6 MMT and the safrinha crop at 101.3 MMT. In December, Conab pegged Brazil’s corn crop at 125.8 MMT, though that was based off an estimate of the first corn crop and projections for safrinha acreage and yield.

Steady stream of CWD samples in Louisiana
Chronic Wasting Disease struck again in Tensas Parish and samples have steadily streamed in. Louisiana Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks deer program manager Johnathan Bordelon said the state’s second positive case of CWD was found four miles away from their first case and was confirmed Monday.
Bordelon said they have 512 samples from the CWD control area in Tensas Parish, Madison Parish and Franklin Parish.
