Grain Trader Viterra In Talks To Merge With Rival Bunge
Global grain trader Viterra is in talks to merge with U.S. rival Bunge Ltd (BG.N), a person familiar with the matter said, in a potential mega deal that would reshape the top tier of global grains merchants.
There is no certainty that Viterra, part-owned by Switzerland-based mining and trading giant Glencore (GLEN.L), will be able to reach an agreement on the terms, the source said, requesting anonymity as these discussions are confidential.

Four Rural Sites Listed on Annual ‘Most Endangered List’ for 2023
Four rural historic sites found their way onto the list of the 11 Most Endangered Historic Places released recently by The National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The rural sites include a gas station that has been a focal point for the Hualapai Tribal community for almost a century in Arizona. The other rural sites include West Bank of St. John the Baptist Parish in Louisiana and the home and studio of L.V. Hull, who filled her front yard with public art, in Kosciusko, Mississippi.

Livestock OTC Antibiotics Will Soon Require A Prescription
The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry wants to make livestock owners aware of an important date coming up. Starting on June 11, 2023, over-the-counter (OTC) livestock antibiotics will require veterinary oversight as a result of a new federal rule from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This includes both animals intended for food production and those that do not enter the food supply, such as dogs, cats, backyard poultry, pet rabbits, and pot-bellied pigs.
