In honor of National Women’s History Month and National Ag Day, the Southern University Ag Center is hosting a Luncheon to celebrate women from all walks of life that are connected through agriculture.

Southern University and A&M College has been designated as a Carnegie R2 institution with "high research activity,” the second-highest classification for American research universities. Southern is one of two Historically Black Colleges and Universities to newly receive the Carnegie Classification of Institutes of Higher Education designation.

Recently, the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center and the College of Agricultural, Family and Consumer Sciences were afforded the opportunity to be a recipient of the McBride Sisters Collection YES SHE CAN fund in the amount of $50,000.
