Scattered strong-to-severe storms will return to the northern half of the state on Wednesday with a "SLIGHT Risk" for severe storms.

All modes of severe weather are on the for the northern and most central parishes, with the NWS Storm Prediction Center's latest forecasts highlighting a potential for EF2 tornadoes and 2" hail.  There is also a low-end threat for locally-heavy downpours and flooding rains (mainly ponding in low areas and nuisance standing water) across the same areas.
