More Rain Still to Come...

HRRR forecast animation runs from Sunday 7:00 AM CDT through Tuesday 7:00 AM CDT.

The SPC has issued a SLIGHT Risk for severe storms on Sunday for the northern half of Louisiana with a MARGINAL Risk across much of the southern half of the state.  The primary threats will be damaging winds and large hail from isolated (south) to scattered (north) strong-to-severe t-storms.  The SPC currently does not anticipate tornadic storms for the Bayou State on Sunday.

Locally-heavy rains could also be a factor as well for the northern parishes as a slow-moving 'cool' front works its way southeast across the Bayou State, delivering a "MARGINAL Risk" for flash flooding on Sunday according to the WPC.

Isolated to scattered non-severe t-storms will be possible statewide on Monday, with a clear-out expected from Monday into Tuesday.
