Update For Maximum Annual Use Rate Of Dicamba For Use In DT Cotton and Soybean
By Dr. Donnie Miller & Dr. Stephen Ippolito
LSU AgCenter
New dicamba labels for use in DT cotton and soybean included a reduction in the maximum annual use rate. This reduction applies to all sources of dicamba when using or intending to use Engenia, Stryax, or Tavium. Therefore, if you intend to apply Engenia, Stryax, or Tavium in DT cotton or soybean, you need to take into consideration other sources of dicamba such as burndown applications, cover crop termination, or applications in rotational crops made or intended to be made in the same year. However, if you do not intend to use any dicamba products in DT cotton or soybean then the maximum annual use rate remains unchanged and crop specific to restrictions listed on the product label.
*There are crop specific rotation restrictions for all dicamba products applied preplant to DT cotton and soybean except for Engenia, Stryax, or Tavium. Consult the product label for further information about rotation restrictions. Please read labels thoroughly prior to use for additional precautions and application guidelines not included in this update. We will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available.
