LSU AgCenter
The third annual Louisiana Agricultural Outlook Forum will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 8:00am to 2:40pm at the LSU AgCenter’s Dean Lee Research Station State Evacuation Shelter in Alexandria (address: 8125 Hwy. 71 South, Alexandria, LA 71302).
The forum will provide both a comprehensive outlook on the agricultural economic environment for 2026 as well as critical farm and risk management information. Faculty members from the LSU Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness will provide updates on the corn, soybean, cotton, rice, sugar, cattle, and timber markets for 2026.
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Jim Wiesemeyer, Washington DC policy analyst, and Ms. Skylar Sowder, VP of Government Affairs for the Farm Credit Council will serve as virtual keynote speakers! An event agenda and speaker biography are attached.
Following the keynote addresses, an ag lender panel will take the stage to discuss the credit situation facing farmers heading into 2026.
There is no registration to attend this in-person event. However, preregistration is encouraged by using the QR code provided on the event flyer (attached). Onsite registration will also be available. However, your preregistration is greatly appreciated as this will allow us to plan for lunch.
