Louisiana Team Competes in Final Four of Farm Bureau Ag Innovation Challenge

ANAHEIM, Ca. — FarmMind, an agricultural intelligence platform rooted in Louisiana’s sugarcane country, has been selected as a Final Four competitor in the 2026 Farm Bureau Ag Innovation Challenge, a national business competition hosted by the American Farm Bureau Federation in partnership with Farm Credit.

The final four teams competed live yesterday, during the American Farm Bureau Convention in Anaheim, California, pitching their innovations in front of Farm Bureau members, investors and agricultural industry leaders. The overall winner will receive $100,000, while the runner-up will earn $25,000.

FarmMind is the world’s first agricultural intelligence platform designed to unite farm workflows in one place — including field notes, GIS management, regulatory compliance, financial tracking and real-time agronomic insights.

Powered by the company’s proprietary Ag Intelligence Engine and conversational assistant Farmer AI, the platform helps farmers and consultants increase yields, reduce costly errors, save time, and stay compliant with ever-changing regulations.

The technology was developed with deep Louisiana roots. Founders worked alongside the LSU AgCenter and agricultural consultants to address real-world challenges facing growers — particularly in high-input crops like sugarcane.

What began as a simple AI chat tool has evolved into an integrated, all-in-one platform that replaces the need for multiple apps, streamlining everything from field scouting and spray records to compliance documentation and financial oversight.

FarmMind’s team includes both technologists and agricultural professionals, blending firsthand farm experience with advanced software development. Early adopters across Louisiana report significant time savings and improved efficiency, especially for consultants managing multiple farms and complex compliance requirements.

By simplifying recordkeeping and decision-making, FarmMind allows farmers and consultants to spend less time behind a screen — and more time focused on productivity, profitability and stewardship.

FarmMind was selected as one of 10 semifinalist teams nationwide before advancing through a virtual pitch round to earn its place in the Final Four.

Louisiana Farm Bureau leaders say the achievement underscores the state’s growing role in agricultural innovation.

“This is a powerful example of Louisiana-grown ideas solving real challenges in agriculture,” said representatives with the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation. “FarmMind reflects the ingenuity, resilience and forward-thinking mindset of today’s farmers and ag professionals.”
