NEW ORLEANS, LA – The 2025 USA Rice Outlook Conference, now just a few days away, strives to offer relevant and timely programming to improve the sustainability and viability of the entire U.S. rice industry, in addition to offering a trade show bursting at the seams. Attendees can explore the offerings and plan their conference with the updated event app, sponsored by BASF, available for download today at the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

For growers, sessions on the new delphacid threat, water use, smoke management, current ag policy out of Washington, and the latest outlook and research reports from eight rice producing states, and more, will mean time away from the farm is well spent.

End users, millers, and exporters will gain great insight from retail trend and food and drink innovation speakers, government rice grading experts, importers offering market analysis for Mexico, Central America, the Dominican Republic, Canada, and the United Kingdom, and more.

Education sessions will also tackle rural mental health, gene editing trends, the 2026 Farm Economic Outlook, the success of the California Rice Footprint study, and the exciting and interesting history of rice in Louisiana.

Additionally, keynote speakers Steve Lerch, an innovation evangelist formerly with Google, and futurist Nikolas Badminton will help attendees hone their futurist mindset to set themselves up for success. USDA-FAS Administrator Daniel Whitley and Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation President Richard Fontentot will also speak.

The Annual Awards Luncheon will highlight achievements in sustainability and conservation, as well as recognizing the Rice Farmer of the Year, the Rice Industry Award, and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The USA Rice Outlook Conference is December 7-9, at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside and you can see the full schedule and more at www.usarice.com/outlook
