Louisiana Weekly Climate Summary - November 19 – November 25, 2025
By Jay Grymes
Louisiana State Climatologist
There were two precipitation events during the 7-day monitoring period, both linked to frontal systems: the first on Nov 21-22 and a more significant event (particularly across northern Louisiana) on Nov 24-25
As a result, 7-day rain totals were above normal across northern Louisiana but were generally below normal for the central and southern parishes
Average temperatures were more than 10° above 7-day normals across Louisiana as the state period was dominated by southerly flow from the ‘warm’ Gulf
High temperature records fell across the state, including (but not limited to): 87°F at the Shreveport SHV AP (NW Div) on Nov 19th, 85°F at St. Francisville 1 NE (EC Div) on the 20th, 85°F at Monroe MLU AP (NC Div) on the 21st, 85°F at New Orleans MSY AP (SE Div) on Nov 21st & 25th, 86°F at Natchitoches #2 (WC Div) on the 22nd, and 84°F at Tallulah TVR AP (NE Div) on the 22nd
