Louisiana Weekly Climate Review - December 10 – December 16, 2025

7-day rainfall was mainly limited to a frontal passage during the overnight hours of Dec 13 into the morning hours of Dec 14, with 7-day totals running below-normal for the vast majority of the state. 

Temperatures were generally above normal until the Dec 13-14 cold front passage, then trended below-normal for the remainder of the 7-day run 

Several northern parishes were hit with a ‘hard freeze’ on the morning of Dec 14 with a majority of the state recording a ‘hard freeze’ during the morning of Dec 15 

Temperatures during the 7-day period ranged from highs of 80⁰F recorded at several stations prior to the Dec 13-14 frontal passage down to a bitterly cold low of 17⁰F at Homer 1 N (NC Division) thanks to the Arctic Blast behind the front
