Best Management Practices In Sugarcane Production Field Day

Registration will begin at 8AM, Tuesday, September 20, at the Sugar Model Farm located on the Dugas Farm, 5585 LA-1, in Napoleonville.

Topics will include overview of best management practices, water quality monitoring, cover crops, soil

respiration test kit, soil testing, precision ag and economics of conservation, NRCS and project updates.

According to Dr. Donna Gentry, head of the Master Farmer Program at the AgCenter, Phase II credit for continuing education will be offered to those enrolled in the Program as well as CCA credit for certified crop consultants.
