NRCS Summer Internship Positions are Available
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released a new USDA/NRCS recruitment video describing a wide variety of career paths and highlighting some of our excellent employees, which can be found on YouTube at https://youtu.be/3KXHeiDqJns. Chad Kacir, State Conservationist explains, “We have worked hard to put together a video that explains who we are as an agency and why students should choose USDA/NRCS for a rewarding career.” Kacir continues, “As one of our employees in the video says, if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. I completely agree!”
Louisiana NRCS has 12 student internships available for summer 2021 through the Pathways program which can be found on USAJobs.gov. The Pathways program is a paid summer internship that gives college students the opportunity to work side-by-side with NRCS professionals and gain real-life work experience. “The Pathways program is an excellent way for students to begin their career journey with us,” said Kacir. “I encourage any student interested to apply, there is a short application time period, so don’t wait, apply today.”
