Morganza Spillway Opening Postponed Again, but Water Still on Way

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials have postponed opening the Morganza Spillway for the second time, but the delay won't dramatically change the forecast inundation of the Atchafalaya River Basin floodway. Corps spokesman Matt Roe told USA Today Network the agency will open the spillway on Sunday rather than Thursday as previously planned.
