USDA Designates 17 Louisiana Parishes as Primary Natural Disaster Areas

WASHINGTON — Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue designated 17 Louisiana parishes as primary natural disaster areas. Producers in Acadia, Allen, Ascension, Assumption, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Catahoula, Jefferson Davis, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Landry, Terrebonne and Vermilion Parishes who suffered losses caused by rain and flooding that occurred Aug. 25 through Nov. 16, 2018, may be eligible for U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) emergency loans.
