Promising Rice Crop for SW Louisiana

IOWA — The rice crops in Southwest Louisiana appear promising this year after a lingering winter followed by hot, dry conditions, a state agriculture official said Wednesday. “We have had low yields for the past three years, and each year it seems to be getting a little bit worse,” said Dustin Harrell, a rice specialist with the LSU AgCenter.
