Louisiana Chick Placements Down 5 Percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 2.98 million during the week ending September 9, 2017. Placements were down 5 percent from the comparable week in 2016 but up 32 percent from the previous week.
