Louisiana Chick Placements Up 3 Percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 3.27 million during the week ending April 29, 2017. Placements were up 3 percent from the comparable week in 2016 but down 2 percent from the previous week.
