Florida Parishes Forestry Forum March 17th

The 27th annual Florida Parishes Forestry Forum will be held Friday, March 17th from 8:30 to 2:45 at the University Center at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.

Topics to be covered include “Waters of the US” from Louisiana Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Mike Strain, “Problems Facing Loggers,” “Feral Swing Trapping and Processing,” “State and Federal Forestry Issues” from Buck Vandersteen with the Louisiana Forestry Association,  “Herbicide Applications—Problems and Solutions,” “Use Value Taxation and Timber Severance Taxes” and “Louisiana Forestry Teacher Tour” from Whitney Wallace from the LSU AgCenter.

Registration fee is $25 per person prior to March 9th.  After March 9th the fee increases to $40 per person.
