Louisiana Chick Placements Down 4 Percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 2.96 million during the week ending October 28, 2017. Placements were down 4 percent from the comparable week in 2016 but up 4 percent from the previous week.
