The winners of the 2023 LSU AgCenter 4-H and FFA State Rabbit Show have been announced.
Rodney Johnson, AgCenter agent in Rapides Parish, said the show, which was held at the State Evacuation Shelter in Alexandria on March 4, welcomed 485 exhibition rabbits and eight meat pens.
Hundreds of hard-working exhibitors showed off all the skills acquired through their rabbit project work.

The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) says Bobbie. G Smith, 65, stole 70 heads of livestock three times during November and December 2022. Smith, from Thayer, Missouri, is also accused of failing to provide acceptable payment to a livestock vendor.
