The EPA has approved the Section 18- Emergency eemption for the use of Sivanto Prime to control pasture mealybug on sugarcane in Louisiana. The use season for this quarantine exemption is effective June 1, 2026, through November 15, 2028
The Environmental Protection Agency hereby amends the quarantine exemption authorized on June 1, 2026 under the provisions of Section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act, to the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) for the foliar use of flupyradifurone (CAS No. 951659-40-8), formulated as the product Sivanto Prime, to control invasive pasture mealybug infestations on sugarcane in Louisiana. Item (6) of that authorization is hereby amended to read as follows: 6. A maximum of 267,047 acres of sugarcane may be treated in the following sugarcane-producing parishes in Louisiana: Acadia, Assumption, Cameron, Iberia, Iberville, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermillion. This quarantine exemption remains subject to the conditions set forth in your initial request as well as all other conditions, modifications, and restrictions given in the initial authorization dated June 1, 2026.
