For Agriculture — and for Society — the Future Feels Dry

My husband and I have been together for nearly 18 years. We met in college (at a bar, like most college students meet) while he was on the livestock judging team, hence many of our first dates were quick lunches at Jimmy John’s before he left for a practice trip or an out-of-state contest. I vividly remember the conversations we had during some of those first dates, discussing issues affecting animal agriculture and what the future would hold. Oddly enough, some of those same issues are still plaguing animal agriculture today.
