The Ruston Farmers Market is bringing back its Peach Cookery Contest, set for June 3 and June 4 as part of the Louisiana Peach Festival.
Community members of all ages are invited to participate, with categories including peach pies and cobblers, along with a new addition this year for jams, jellies and preserves. Participants will present their entries at 5 p.m. each day—jams and preserves on June 3, and pies and cobblers on June 4—at the market located on East Mississippi Avenue. Judging will begin at 6 p.m., with winners announced June 6 during the market.
