Davis Timber Company Expands Operations, Building on 40 Years in Louisiana
DERIDDER, La. – Davis Timber Company, Inc. announced it will invest $1.9 million to expand its Beauregard Parish operations with new production capabilities that will enhance efficiency and strengthen Louisiana’s timber industry.
The company is expected to create 12 direct new jobs while retaining 11 current positions. Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will result in an additional nine indirect new jobs, for a total of 21 potential new job opportunities in the Southwest Region.

Davis Timber Company’s expansion will take place at its production facility within the Beauregard Regional Airport Industrial Complex in DeRidder, where the company produces poles and pilings used in utility and infrastructure applications. The project will add new processing capabilities to the existing operation, improving efficiency and enhancing product readiness for market.

Improving economic climate, funding opportunities and industry deregulation in the State of Louisiana have allowed us to increase our production by building and adding a kiln-drying operation and set the stage for company growth and development.

Davis Timber Company, Inc. is a family-run business with decades of experience in Louisiana’s forestry industry, producing poles and pilings from local timber for utility and infrastructure applications. The company has grown from timber harvesting into manufacturing and now operates a production facility in DeRidder.

Construction is underway, with project completion and operations expected by January 2027.

To secure the project in DeRidder the state of Louisiana offered Davis Timber Company, Inc. a competitive incentives package that includes a $200,000 performance-based grant for infrastructure improvements and equipment. The company is also expected to participate in the state’s Industrial Tax Exemption program.
