In an exclusive interview Thursday afternoon, AGDAILY spoke to Under Secretary of Agriculture for Farm Production and Conservation Richard Fordyce about key tax breaks for farmers resulting from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) signed last July.
While the 2025 tax season is wrapping up, Fordyce said farmers and ranchers should pay close attention to many of the changes brought on by the OBBBA for 2026 and beyond. He recommends producers consult with tax professionals and government agents to ensure they’re maximizing the many opportunities OBBBA presents.
