AMITE, La. - A farm is a place where family comes first for those with two legs and those with four.

Miles Sinagra has been farming since he was a kid. Sinagra Family Dairy, in Amite, is his home, and he has lots of experience out in the fields.

“There’s always something. If a cow goes into labor in the middle of the night, somebody has to be there. We don’t really have any time off, but it’s a passion project,” said Sinagra.

Sinagra moved to New York City for college. After graduating, he began a full-time job in Manhattan. But it wasn’t long before the call of farming brought him back home.
