Share Your Input To Help Shape The Future Of Rice Farming

USA Rice

CROWLEY, LA – Rice farming is changing. To ensure that growers’ experiences and priorities are understood, researchers from the Louisiana State University (LSU) are talking with farmers across the southern U.S. rice-growing region to ensure grower perspectives guide future support for rice production.

There are two ways to participate: take a short survey or, for those growers who wish to share experiences, ideas, and concerns in greater detail, schedule an interview with an LSU graduate student.

This input will help shape how researchers, extension agents, and policymakers understand the ground-level knowledge that comes from growers themselves, from new practices and risk management strategies to emerging technologies and planning for the future.

All interview and survey responses are kept confidential, and access will only be granted to project team members. The more growers who participate, the more accurate and useful the results will be. By taking part, you will help make sure the story of rice farming is told by the people living it every day.
