That’s why we are glad to see that help is on the way in the form of one-time payouts approved recently by the Trump administration.
The payments, part of the Farm Bridge Assistance Program, will see about $12 billion in federal dollars flow down to farmers across the country.
The lion’s share of the money, about $11 billion, will go to farmers of row crops, which include soybeans, corn, cotton and rice. The remaining $1 billion will be used for specialty crops, including sugar cane.
