Wildfire Risk Increasing for Louisiana

With dry-to-drought conditions developing across a good portion of Louisiana ... and with a few more mainly-dry days ahead ... wildfire threats are likely on the rise for much of the state.

As of Saturday, 6 parishes have issued burn bans - including Washington Parish as the most recent.  Those bans are in effect until further notice. Note the cluster of Acadiana parishes now categorized with a "Very High" wildfire danger.
