The Farmer's Forecast: Typical Summer Weather
By Nick Mikulas
It’s time to take a look at what’s going on in the world of weather! Spoiler alert, it looks pretty much like typical summer weather. That means highs generally in the 90s, lows in the 70s, and scattered storms each day. No need to dress that up too much. I do think we will see higher rain chances through Thursday, and then things become a bit more isolated into the weekend.
The real star of the show in this update is that the tropics remain quiet. I know we have Tropical Storm Erin way out in the Atlantic, but all indications are that Erin will stay well east of Louisiana, and very likely east of the United States. We are entering the busiest part of tropical season, and I expect several more storms in the coming weeks. As it stands right now, I don’t see any sort of imminent threat anywhere along the Gulf Coast. I’ll be watching it all!
