Louisiana Farm Bureau members still have time to register for the inaugural Rooted in Leadership Conference, scheduled for January 23–24, 2026, in Baton Rouge, but the registration deadline is quickly approaching. Registration closes Monday, January 5.
The Rooted in Leadership Conference is a joint leadership event hosted by the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation’s Women’s Leadership Committee, Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee, and Michael Danna Leadership Planning Committee. The conference is designed to bring Farm Bureau members from across the state together to build leadership skills, exchange ideas, and strengthen involvement at every level of the organization.
“This conference is about bringing people together and working more as a Farm Bureau family,” said Louisiana Farm Bureau President Richard Fontenot. “It’s an opportunity for members to network, learn from one another, and leave better prepared to serve.”
The two-day conference features a full agenda that blends leadership development, policy updates, and networking with unique Louisiana experiences. Friday includes a legislative update and lunch at the Louisiana State Capitol, a tour of Associated Grocers, and an exclusive visit to LSU’s Tiger Stadium, where attendees will enjoy a behind-the-scenes stadium tour, dinner in the South Stadium Club, and an evening casino night.
Saturday’s programming focuses on practical, take-home leadership tools with keynote speaker Roger Mills and breakout sessions covering topics such as artificial intelligence, business management, market outlooks, labor and succession planning, media training, mental health, nutrition, and parliamentary procedure. The conference will conclude with district meetings and an optional Young Farmers & Ranchers dinner and social.
The conference is open to all Louisiana Farm Bureau members 18 years of age and older. Registration is $250 per person and includes lodging, meals, transportation, tours, and conference activities.
