Sustainable Grazing, Processing Livestock Workshop To Be Held Nov. 5 In Sunset

SUNSET, La. — A Sustainable Grazing and Processing Livestock Workshop: From Field to Market will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, in Sunset.

The tour will begin at T. Moise Farms, where attendees will learn about livestock operations from management to processing to sale.

The main presenter for the afternoon will be Stuart Gardner, owner and operator of Gardner Ranch, who will give a tour of his ranch and teach about regenerative practices in stockmanship.

Sign-in begins at 9 a.m. The workshop will last from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This training is open to the public. Farmers, extension agents, nonprofits, ag professionals and homesteaders are all welcome to register.

The workshop is sponsored by the Louisiana Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Professional Development Program.
