Rep. Troy Carter to Hold Workshops, Seminars for Crawfish Producers

Louisiana 2nd District Congressman Troy Carter will host 3 workshops for people involved in the crawfish industry affected by the lack of crawfish.
According to an e-mail from Carter’s staff, “[Rep. Carter] is partnering with the U.S. Small Business Administration to hold workshops and seminars for crawfishers. These workshops will provide technical assistance to crawfish producers, boil houses, restaurants, grocery stores, and others who depend upon the crawfish season. The workshop will include information on financial resources available, preparing to apply for assistance (documents required, keys to success, avoiding common mistakes, etc.). One-to-one meetings will be available.”
The first workshop is scheduled in New Orleans for Monday, March 18 from 9-11 a.m. at the Southern University at New Orleans College of Business Auditorium. The second is set in Reserve on Wednesday, March 20 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Reserve Community College. The final workshop is scheduled to be held in Baton Rouge Thursday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to noon at Reimagine Women Center on Airline Hwy.
