L4S Farms co-owner Nicole Johnson said dry conditions and cold weather has made a huge impact on the growth of crops.
“We did a lot to try to prepare for that by like applying mulch in hay and using freeze cloth to try to protect the crops that we had, but it absolutely affects the production on a farm, whenever you have extreme weather conditions where there is high heat and extreme lows,” Johnson said.
