Rotarian Peter Strawitz welcomed Louisiana Farm Bureau Third Vice President Richard Fontenot as the guest speaker for the May 9, meeting of the Ville Platte Rotary Club. Fontenot gave an update on agriculture in Evangeline Parish, noting it is one of the key industries in the parish and a significant part of the local economy.
