"I’ve never had a song that’s connected like this," says Jordan Davis on an overcast Thursday afternoon, in what was metaphorically – and also literally – the calm before the storm.
Even if he doesn’t win ACM Awards for “Buy Dirt,” Davis may have succeeded in a manner more significant than trophies could denote: Essentially, “Buy Dirt's" success has allowed the Shreveport, Louisiana native to actually “buy dirt” – a hunting-ready, two-acre duck camp outside of Memphis, Tennessee in Eastern Arkansas.
