Louisiana milk production during the July - September 2022 quarter was 23.0 million pounds, down 8 percent from the same period in 2021 and down 28 percent from the April - June quarter. The average number of milk cows on farms during the quarter was 8,500 head, 500 head lower than the same period last year and the previous quarter.
