South Louisiana Ports Partnering To Request Federal Aid

Several south Louisiana ports have joined together to request federal assistance in recovering from Hurricane Ida, which damaged port infrastructure, waterways and communities, according to an announcement from the Port of New Orleans. 

The ports of New Orleans, Greater Baton Rouge, Fourchon, Morgan City, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, South Louisiana and Terrebonne formally submitted a request to President Joe Biden last week, asking that ports be included in any bills for urgent funding from Congress.
