Louisiana Folks Are Now Added to This City’s COVID Travel List

Just in case you were planning a business trip or vacation to the Midwest anytime soon, you may want to make alternate plans. As COVID virus numbers begin to spike once again due to the new Delta variant strain, the Chicago Department of Public Health added Louisiana to its travel advisory watch list.

Louisiana joins Florida, Nevada and the US Virgin Islands on the list of origins on the advisory list, meaning that unvaccinated people traveling to the Windy City are advised - but not required - to obtain a negative COVID-19 test result no more than 72 hours prior to arrival in Chicago or quarantine for 10-days upon arrival in Chicago.
