Sure, these are some things residents in hurricane-prone areas are most likely to buy in preparation for storm season. But in Louisiana, there's one item on the shopping list more than any other hurricane-prone state: booze.
About 43% of Louisiana residents surveyed said they buy alcohol when a hurricane is projected to impact their area, according to a survey by Cinch Home Services, a home warranty company.
That's the highest percentage out of all the states surveyed, according to additional data provided by a Cinch Home Services spokeswoman to the USA TODAY Network.
