Delegate Process
Louisiana submitted a delegate issue in July 2021 concerning equitable access to the American FFA Degree. The issue was considered by state officers at the State Officer Summit in Washington, DC and was determined to be a priority. It was made into a delegate committee by the National FFA Officer Team, and the committee met at National FFA Convention. The committee report passed the delegate floor, and will be considered by the National FFA Board of Directors for further action.
The Louisiana FFA Association is composed of 11,300 student members from 204 FFA chapters in 51 parishes. The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. FFA operates under a federal charter granted by the 81st United States Congress, and it is an integral part of public instruction in agriculture.
