John Bel Edwards Vetoes Car Insurance Bill; Legislature Considering 3 Replacement Bills Today

The effort to lower auto insurance prices by curtailing litigation will have to begin again as Gov. John Bel Edwards on Friday vetoed the legislation that overwhelmingly passed both chambers but included faulty wording.
Louisiana farmers and ranchers depend upon trucking companies to more their products from the farm gate to the point of sale. These trucking companies are having a tough time finding insurance coverage.
