Abraham Applauds USDA Relief Package for Louisiana Farmers

Congressman Ralph Abraham, M.D., R-Alto, applauded the USDA's announced $19 billion relief package for America's agriculture industry due to the COVID-19 outbreak. 

"President Trump and Agriculture Secretary Perdue have done a great job of listening to the various needs of our agriculture industry and responding accordingly. They understand that groceries don't just magically appear on store shelves, but involve months and even years of advanced planning, logistical support, and diverse supply chains," said Abraham. "While I hope to see the COVID-19 outbreak subside and social distancing measures reduced as soon as possible, our farmers need immediate support to avoid bankruptcy and the imminent collapse of these supply chains."
