BATON ROUGE, La. — Out of an abundance of caution related to the 2019 novel coronavirus, the LSU AgCenter has canceled AgMagic, an educational event for children that was planned for April 20 to 27 on the LSU campus.

“While our goal was to provide an enriched educational experience in agriculture, the safety and well-being of our youth, teachers, and staff is more important,” said AgCenter Associate Vice President Toby Lepley. “We look forward to hosting AgMagic in the future.”

The event, which uses interactive exhibits to teach children about Louisiana agriculture, has been held annually since 2004. It typically attracts hundreds of visitors on each day of its weeklong run in the Parker Coliseum.
