Wild hogs, daylight saving time, Pledge of Allegiance among bills in Louisiana Legislature

As Louisiana lawmakers prepare to tackle marquee issues like changes to tort law as the March 9 Regular Legislative Session approaches, other bills off the beaten path are already being filed like changes to gubernatorial succession and a Pledge of Allegiance requirement for schoolchildren.

Many of those bills will fall by the wayside, but others, like last year's truth-in-food-labeling bill banning names like "cauliflower rice" will rise into law.
