You know you are getting old when you sit down in the local café in the community you have lived near ( 8 miles) have breakfast at 10:30 a.m. and both of the waitresses knows you but none of the patrons do I know. A sure sign that the area and you are changing and you have been a resident of the area for over 55 years. I agree with the person who wrote the book a few years ago called “Old Age is not for Sissies”, sure nice to be able to go to that café and enjoy the coffee for $1.99 a cup, you have to drink it all, it’s too expensive to leave on the table.
