Will Louisiana's Election Day Results be Delayed by Record Number of Mail Ballots?

Louisiana's election results will likely be posted Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning at the latest despite a record number of absentee ballots that parish election boards will have to tabulate on Election Day, said Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin.

Ardoin also expects a two-decade high voter turnout of up to 71% for the election, which is headlined by the race for president between Republican President Donald Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden.
