AUSTIN, Texas —  Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation was recognized as one of the top state Farm Bureaus with the Pinnacle Award during the 101st Annual American Farm Bureau Federation Convention and Trade Show, Jan. 19, in Austin, Texas.

The Pinnacle Award is the highest honor a state Farm Bureau can earn for program and membership achievement. Farm Bureaus compete annually for this award against other state Farm Bureaus of the same-sized membership.

Louisiana Farm Bureau President Ronnie Anderson proudly accepted the award on behalf of the organization.

“A National Championship for LSU and now this,” Anderson said. “The Pinnacle Award is the highest achievement a state Farm Bureau can win, so this award is essentially the National Championship for Farm Bureau.”

Anderson said the award highlights the work of Louisiana Farm Bureau’s staff and leadership to improve the agricultural industry for Louisiana’s farmers and ranchers.

“It recognizes the success of our programs and the work of our staff and volunteer leaders in the state,” Anderson said.  “It’s truly a great honor, and totally a surprise to me!  I didn’t know it was happening. So, this is great.”

AFBF also recognized Louisiana Farm Bureau with Excellence Awards for achievements in Engagement & Outreach Leadership and Business Development.
