Drive Safely During Sugarcane Harvest

BATON ROUGE - With safety the number one priority, Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain, D.V.M., is reminding both drivers and agricultural producers to use caution and patience on the roadway this sugarcane harvest season. Harvest usually runs from September through December.
